Η Σχολή Επιστημών Υγείας & Αθλητισμού του Mediterranean College Θεσσαλονίκης διοργανώνει workshops για φοιτητές & απόφοιτους αθλητισμού και προπονητικής! Στο πλαίσιο των workshops, οι συμμετέχοντες θα έχουν την ευκαιρία να παρακολουθήσουν και να συμμετάσχουν σε πρακτική εξάσκηση με τη χρήση του εξοπλισμού που διαθέτει η Σχολή, όπως είναι τα Force Plates.

Transspinal (or transcutaneous spinal cord) stimulation affects the spinal locomotor networks and is used to improve walking ability in people with spinal cord injury. However, the effects of transspinal stimulation at different frequencies and intensities on intralimb and interlimb coordination and on spatiotemporal gait characteristics has never been systematically investigated before.

Transspinal (or transcutaneous spinal cord) stimulation is a promising non-invasive method that may strengthen the intrinsic spinal neural connectivity in upper motor neuron lesions. In this study we assessed the effects of cervical transspinal stimulation on the amplitude of leg transspinal evoked potentials (TEPs), and the effects of lumbosacral transspinal stimulation on the amplitude of arm TEPs and flexor carpi radialis (FCR) H-reflex.

Transspinal stimulation is a promising approach for modulating spinal cord excitability and holds great potential as a neural interface to aid in the recovery of somatic and non-somatic functions in upper motoneuron lesions.
