Abstract
Poster presentation investigating, in 7 male and 7 female participants, the effect of an unstable load (liquid vs. solid, matched weight) and its interaction with the NIOSH lifting-equation multiplier factors on the RMS EMG activity of ten trunk muscles during lowering tasks. The mixed ANOVA revealed a gender interaction with the combined effect of the within-subjects factors, indicating that unstable loads influence trunk muscle intervention differently between males and females.
