Abstract
Oral presentation using inertial measurement units (Xsens MVN BIOMECH) to define, via Euler angles, the posture of the upper arm with respect to the trunk during laparoscopic surgery, comparing a conventional axial-handled needle holder with a robotic handheld needle holder. Builds on an earlier 3D-videogrammetry-based study of the same research line presented at the 5º Congresso Nacional de Biomecânica, Espinho, 2013.
