Abstract
Poster presentation reporting an injury-epidemiology survey of 20 basketball athletes (mean age 20.85 ± 2.58 years) who completed a purpose-built injury questionnaire. Over a two-year period the sample sustained 28 injuries, most occurring during training, with knee sprains and ankle injuries accounting for the highest proportion. The findings indicated that the injury pattern in basketball athletes showed distinctive deviations from those reported in the international literature.
