Abstract
Poster presentation reporting an injury-epidemiology survey of 28 swimming athletes (mean age 13.10 ± 1.41 years) who completed a purpose-built injury questionnaire. Over a four-year period the sample sustained 10 injuries, most occurring during training and localized to the knee, shoulder, and lower back. The findings indicated that injuries in swimming were comparatively infrequent and, when they occurred, were concentrated at the knee, shoulder, and lower back during training.
