Adapted Sports

Biomechanical support for the training and competitive development of Paralympic athletes.

From 2014 to 2015, I worked as a contracted researcher on the Center for Competitive Development of Paralympic Sport, based at the Universidad de Extremadura under Kostas Gianikellis and funded by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness through the European Regional Development Fund (€1,208,953). The project applied sports-biomechanics methodology to support the training and competitive development of Paralympic athletes, extending the kinematic and performance-analysis approach used elsewhere in my sports-biomechanics research to disability sport.
