Obstacle system to be integrated into treadmills

Abstract

The present invention is related to the development of a system for the creation of obstacles to be integrated into treadmills, allowing the biomechanical analysis of gait. The system mentioned above has the particularity of being activated by the analysis of data obtained by pressure and/or force sensors placed on the individual’s supports. The system integrates a skid mechanism (3) which allows the obstacle (8) to be displaced along the belt, being adjustable to its angle, speed and height. A wireless transmitter integrated in an instrument (10) with pressure sensors (9) and a receiver included in (11) that collects information on the start of range and drives the displacement of the obstacle. After crossing, this is automatically retracted and repositioned at the start of the treadmill’s belt for another gait cycle.
